The "History of Australian Theatre Archive" (HAT) is a non profit website that aims to encourage the study of Australian Theatre History. It has a large database of people associated with Australian theatre history, articles about theatre history, short biographies from the newspapers, autographs , historic pictures of theatres and performers and links to other websites. It also has information about Houdini's Tour of Australia and a section on Australian Magic History.

Thanks to a fellow opera nut from America, I could add three postcards to the page showing the Teatro della Concordia at Monte Castello di Vibio, Italy.

By the way, the illustration on the right serving as logo for this blog also shows this charming little theatre. It is taken from the official Italian postage stamp celebrating this theatre.

Some of the many lieux de spectacle in Paris: Théâtre de Belleville, Théâtre des Gobelins, the foyer of the locomotive repair works turned theatre, Théâtre de Lierre (which means ivy, by the way), Théâtre Mogador, Théâtre de Montparnasse, Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin and a postcard of the former Salle Berlioz, now Théâtre de l'Oeuvre.

Last, and in a certain way least, a special gem of French theatre architecture: the Théâtre of Somain.
